Yes, through Google Sheets. After you import the ProfitDrawer .xlsx file into Google Sheets in your own Google Drive, you can open it in the free ($0) Google Sheets app, which Google says can view and edit Google spreadsheets and Excel files on a phone or tablet. Google notes that large files may not open on every device. The product pages do not describe phone use, so do the setup on a computer.
How to set it up:
- On a computer, go to sheets.google.com, choose File > Import > Upload and select Bookkeeping-Template.xlsx, as the included Google-Sheets-Setup.pdf explains.
- On your phone, install the Google Sheets app and sign in with the same Google account.
- Open the spreadsheet from the app's file list. Changes save automatically; tap outside the cell you are typing in to save it.
Do on a computer: the first setup on the Settings tab and clearing the example rows.
Excel files on a phone: the Google Sheets app can also open .xlsx files, but keep one main copy so your numbers stay in a single file.
In Google Sheets, the Excel cell locks are not kept, so type only in the typing columns (on Mileage: Date, From, To and Miles).
